Head coach Nasreddine Nabi has articulated why he remains composed despite Kaizer Chiefs' 4-0 loss to Tanzanian champions Young Africans. The Chiefs endured a heavy defeat as Stephane Aziz Ki scored twice, with additional goals from Prince Dube and Clement Mzize, leading to a 4-0 thrashing at a packed Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein on Sunday.

After the match, Nabi expressed his disappointment with the outcome but highlighted that he found several positives to take away from the experience. "Sunday’s match was very enlightening for me because it allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of my players both as a team and individually," Nabi explained.

"I am not pleased with losing the game. I am never happy to lose, not even during training sessions, because I am inherently competitive," he added. "While I can't accept losing, I see today as a learning opportunity. If we had won, everyone would be praising a turnaround and my coaching methods.

"Despite the loss, there were several positives. The outcome of a friendly match doesn't concern those who lack an understanding of football. "Only those unfamiliar with the sport would lose sleep over today's result, thinking it was a failure.

"But I am aware of both the negatives and positives from today. That was the main purpose of this match," he concluded. After finishing 10th last season, the Amakhosi will not participate in this season’s MTN8, which begins on August 3rd. Their next competitive fixture is scheduled for mid-September.
