Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi shared his thoughts on young Nkosana Mbuthu's performance against Young Africans. The Soweto team faced a heavy defeat from the Tanzanian champions in the city of Roses, right after returning from a pre-season stint in Turkey.

Several young players, including Samkelo Zwane, Mfundo Vilakazi, and Mduduzi Shabalala, along with some experienced ones, played most of the match. "Firstly, we’d like to congratulate Young Africans for an excellent performance today," Nabi told SuperSport TV.

"We have a young team that still lacks experience. They’re learning, we’re learning from their mistakes, and we’re in the process of building a strong team,” Nabi said.

post-match. Nkosana Mbuthu stood out and played the entire match at left-back, with Nabi showing considerable confidence in him despite a costly mistake.

"Yes, Mbuthu is a young player. I’m sure he will become a big player in the future. Currently, I don't have a left-back, and he fits the role. It's normal to lose in a friendly game like this. “If you don’t lose now, it’s not a significant loss. I’m supporting him, not pushing him away because I want to build his confidence. I’m pleased with his performance.

“If I take him out, it would harm his development. My responsibility is to protect him and help him progress and improve in the future."
