Latest News On Kaizer Chiefs Target Appollis

 Will Chiefs Sign Appollis?

Polokwane City coach Phuti Mohafe has made it clear that he would only sanction Oswin Appollis's departure if it’s for an international move, though he acknowledges that the final decision isn't solely up to him. Appollis, who is reportedly being pursued by Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, has also caught the attention of clubs in North Africa.

With the transfer window still open for a few weeks, a move remains a possibility. Despite the speculation, Mohafe has remained focused on preparing his team for the new season. He has been working closely with Appollis, one of the club's key players, throughout the pre-season, with the aim of improving on their eighth-place finish from last year.

Itumeleng Khune's Thoughts on His Kaizer Chiefs Future

"I've heard the rumors as well. As I've mentioned before, I would only consider letting him go for an international opportunity, but that decision is beyond my control. It’s up to the management to decide whether he stays or goes," Mohafe shared with the media at the MTN8 launch in Auckland Park, Johannesburg, on Wednesday.

"For now, though, he's staying with us. He's fully committed and eager to compete against Sundowns and other teams in the league. His focus is entirely on Polokwane City." Polokwane City is set to kick off their season with an MTN8 quarter-final match against Mamelodi Sundowns at Lucas Moripe Stadium on August 11.
